about

filmmaker based in london (previously berlin).

with a degree in politics and modern history and a background of working in documentary and narrative film, the charity sector and the art department - i use these different approaches to inform how i create. i connect with people in a way that invites them to help me tell their story, in this sense i sometimes direct and i sometimes produce. my aim is to facilitate by responding to the particular context of each story and film. i place imagination at the forefront of my work and find it a way to engage in play in times where the subject matter may be heavy and challenging.

i am currently seeking funding for my debut short where i explore the imagination of a man named adam as a way to understand his childhood trauma. the film explores the manifestations of addiction through his early experiences. my approach is informed by a combination of personal experience and voluntary work with organisations dedicated to substance use disorders. i seek to tell a story that places compassion at the forefront of understanding substance abuse, and invites critical analysis as to how society dismisses, dehumanises and criminalises addicts.
